  1. 1.Unzip the download.
  2. 2.Move srotas-desk.exe wherever you want to keep it. There is no installer.
  3. 3.Double-click it. At the SmartScreen warning choose More info → Run anyway.

Windows SmartScreen warns about an unrecognised app, because the build is not code-signed. Click "More info", then "Run anyway" — once per machine.

macOS

Srotas Desk.app (.zip)

  1. 1.Unzip the download to get Srotas Desk.app.
  2. 2.Drag it into your Applications folder.
  3. 3.Right-click the app → Open → Open. After that it opens normally.

macOS blocks a plain double-click on a first launch, because the build is not signed with an Apple Developer ID. Right-click → Open gets past it, once.

Ubuntu / Linux

  3. 3.Launch "Srotas Desk" from your application menu.

Installs for your user only — no root, and nothing written outside your home folder.

Why the warnings?

The builds are not code-signed, so macOS and Windows each show a caution on first launch. That is a statement about a certificate we have not bought, not about the software — the steps above get past it once and the warning does not return.

Every build is produced by CI from public source and published straight to GitHub Releases, which is where these buttons point. All releases

After the trial

When the 30 days are up the app asks for a subscription key. Your shop's data stays exactly where it is and reappears the moment a key is entered.
